W3 - What does it mean?

W3 states the welding smoke class for which the unit has been tested.

Welding smoke class W3 means that the unit extraction degree is tested specifically for welding smoke in high-alloy steel. This enables application for filtered air recirculation on markets, where this is permitted (recirculation is not permitted in Denmark).

Unit meets safety and health demands according to DIN EN ISO 21904-2 (2020).

Tested at IFA (Institut für Arbeitsschutz der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung (Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Socail Accident Insurance)) - former BGIA.

WHY SELECT A W3-UNIT?

  • The unit is tested by an international recognized institute.
  • Gives optimal protection of staff members at use of unit.
  • Well-documented unit, which easily is approved by governmental authorities.
  • Ensures at W3 guaranteed and documented observance of emission limit of 99% for welding smoke according to the guidelines of Danish Environmental Protection Agency.
